Multiple Award winning singer/songwriter Sarah MacDougall is known for her poetic songs and passionate performances. Sarah mixes folk, pop, and rock elements into her infectious, often epic songs. Born in Sweden, now based in Canada, Swedish magazine Nöjesguiden declared her: 'one of Sweden's best singer/songwriters' and Rootstime Belgium described her as 'One of the greatest talents of our era'. Sarah has played festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, Edmonton Folk Festival, Reeperbahn, and has shared the stage with artists such as Bruce Cockburn, Tallest Man on Earth, Buffy St. Marie, Passenger, and more. Her most recent release, 'All The Hours I Have Left To Tell You Anything' is a record about strength, identity, death, the breakdown of relationships, birth, and the ghosts we honor and carry throughout. It is Sarah's fourth record. It was written in the midst of the death of her grandparents, the birth of her niece, and a break up. The nine songs are also influenced by the places that made her and changed her: the dark beauty of Scandinavia the vastness of the Canadian North . Sarah is working on a new album, set to be released 2024/2025.

She was credited on numerous albums and television soundtracks before forming the highly acclaimed, JUNO & ECMA nominated, (and regulars to German touring) Madison Violet (with her bandmate, Brenley MacEachern). The duo are Canadian Folk Award winners for "Vocal Group of the Year" and also the first Canadians to ever win the John Lennon Songwriting Grand Prize. Lisa was nominated (along with her bandmate, Brenley) for "Producer(s) of the Year", at the 2023 "Canadian Folk Music Awards", "Contemporary Album of the Year" and "Single of the Year". 2023 ECMA nominations for the band included "TD Fans' Choice Entertainer of the Year", Folk Recording of the Year", "Songwriter of the Year", and "Contemporary Roots Recording of the Year". They have received mass acclaim from outlets such as the BBC, CBC and NPR and were on Germany's WDR's list of "Best Bands Of All Time". Lisa will have you both laughing and wiping your tears at her storytelling, and tapping your toes when she plays her upbeat Celtic fiddle tunes.
