Sarah Weiß played her way into the hearts of the public with her debut album "12 months of flying" in summer 2022. The music world and the press are enthusiastic about the newcomer: "The world is full of undiscovered talent. The promising singer from Flensburg is one of them. ...Sarah Weiß's music between pop and folk sounds as mature as if she had been at home on big stages for years..." (Folker, 2022/04). This summer, she will surprise us with a new album: "Back to Surface". She is currently in the recording studio making powerful yet delicate recordings of her new pieces with a multifaceted range of instruments and intense melodies, with her voice floating on top. "A depth that is sometimes even reminiscent of Melissa Etheridge or Adele." (NDR) The songs show an inner view of dealing with the topics of grief, love and psychological challenges that we face in life.

"This album is far more than just the next musical step," says Sarah Weiß. "Back to Surface" is a reflection of what has inspired her and helped her through difficult times. Each song tells of her journey back to the surface - carried by the facets of life that have strengthened her, changed her and led her back to the light. We can be sure that with her new songs, Sarah is offering us a musical hand not to lose courage in difficult times and to "resurface".

As Markus Schulze describes her music in his music podcast: "like a cuddly blanket that Sarah puts over my shoulder and hands me a cup of cocoa" (Vinylopresso 05/2023). With her new album, Sarah wants to show her way out of emotionally difficult periods in her life. Music supports our emotions and can cheer us up, offer comfort and support. It helps us to process and express emotions because they are often difficult to put into words.
