Sarmerden - Gesangswettbewerb in der Jurte

In the organizer's words:

With the grandchildren of Turdu Kydyrbaeva (Akbekov, Zhumagulov, Abdykerimov) and the Kyrgyz community

Towards the end of the "Yurt now!" exhibition, we want to listen to Kyrgyz songs at the "Sarmerden" singing competition. Who will win? In this traditional Kyrgyz competition, two groups compete against each other and perform songs and epics - including dances, riddles and tongue twisters! The yurt will be covered so that the songs can also be heard outside the tent.

The event will be held in German, English and Kyrgyz in the exhibition. The MARKK curator Jana C. Reimer will provide the thematic introduction.

A guided tour by the curator will take place at 13:00.
