Sashiko – Japanische Stickkunst neu entdecken Workshop im Rahmen des SUS25 Sustainable Fashion Weekend Süd

Discover Sashiko - a traditional Japanese embroidery technique that was originally developed to repair and reinforce clothing and is now regarded as a symbol of sustainable fashion and mindful consumption.

In this compact workshop, you will immerse yourself in the cultural origins and creative diversity of sashiko embroidery. Together with Jennifer, you will discuss the meaning of individual patterns, learn the basics of the technique and put a simple design into practice - a small, hand-embroidered eye-catcher that you can take home with you.

The course is open to everyone - no previous knowledge is required. All materials (original from Japan) will be provided. Set a creative example for conscious consumption and become part of a centuries-old textile tradition!
