Sax Royal - Die Dresdner Lesebühne - Juni 2025

At the last edition of the Sax Royal reading stage before the summer break, the literary team will turn up the heat once again on June 11 at the GrooveStation. Michael Bittner takes a satirical look at the quirks and monstrosities of our time with both wit and anger. Roman Israel tells stories about strange people and their strange experiences. Max Rademann reports from the Ore Mountains, where people eke out an adventurous existence between crystal and handicrafts. Gesine Schäfer writes poems about people and animals and what connects them - she may even sing her verses. An evening with just the right mix of fun and wisdom is guaranteed.

This time, the reading stage welcomes Tilman Birr as a special guest. Tilman was born in 1980 and is a writer, musician and cabaret artist. After studying history and English, he worked as a city guide, copywriter and historian before making the stage and writing his main profession. He has been one half of the acoustic rock duo "Welthits auf Hessisch" since 2016. Tilman Birr lives in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main and is a member of the "Lesebühne Ihres Vertrauens" and "Prunk und Prosa". He has published several albums and books, most recently the novel "Wie sind Sie hier reingekommen?" (How did you get in here?) in 2023
