SAXON announce their "Hell, Fire And Steel" European tour.

Following stellar performances as special guests to Judas Priest on their recent sold-out European tour, Saxon return with the announcement of their own extensive European tour.

On the "Hell, Fire And Steel" European tour, the band will not only play songs from their recently released album Hell, Fire And Damnation, but also the entire classic second album Wheels Of Steel (which has its 45th anniversary next year), as well as other fan favorites and hits from the band's entire career. The European tour kicks off on February 4 in Bremen (Aladin Music-Hall) and will also make stops in Germany in Hamburg (February 17, Docks), Munich (February 25, Muffathalle), Erfurt (March 1, Central), Berlin (March 4, Huxleys Neue Welt) and Leipzig (March 5, Haus Auensee). Presale via CTS and myticket starts on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 10 am.

The band's breakthrough album, Wheels of Steel, has been cited by numerous journalists as one of those classic albums that every metal fan should own. From the hit single "747 (Strangers in the Night)" to the title track "Wheels of Steel". Saxon's Biff Byford says: "We're very excited to be heading back to Europe early next year and wanted to do something special to mark the occasion. It was fantastic to be a part of the Judas Priest tour and we wanted to bring some of that spirit and energy to our next tour and what better way than to play the first album, Wheels of Steel, in its entirety. Of course, we'll also be playing the usual selection of hits and other fan favorites as well as songs from our new album Hell, Fire and Damnation."

Saxon have also gained new management with the appointment of music management company 7pm Management, headed up by experienced music manager Seven Webster and former MCA Records Global Director of A&R Steve Wolfe. "We are very much looking forward to working with Biff and the band and the brilliant team they have surrounded themselves with," says Seven (Webster). "We're honored to be part of their next chapter and look forward to helping them continue to flourish and build on their fantastic legacy."

Hell, Fire And Damnation is an album on which Saxon explore all realms of history and mystery, amidst ten of their most confident and thunderous songs to date. Biff delivers his best vocals in years, Nigel Glockler and Nibbs Carter on drums and bass respectively provide the rhythm with bombastic power, and the guitars of Doug Scarratt and Brian Tatler are fresh and fiery, a perfect complement to each other and carry an overall energy and fury that will leave fans' mouths watering. Musically, Saxon bring everything to the table. The denim and leather-covered "Fire And Steel" is a furious homage to heavy metal, the electric midtempo track "Pirates Of The Airwaves" is a wonderful nod to the early days of NWOBHM, but the real treasure among the gems is perhaps "There's Something In Roswell", with the kind of sweeping groove and embrace that arenas deserve.

Hell, Fire And Damnation is a superlative British heavy metal classic. Produced by Andy Sneap (Judas Priest, Exodus, Accept and Priest guitarist) and Biff Byford, with Sneap handling the mixing and mastering, the album walks the perfect line between confident, contemporary power and gloriously irreverent living out of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal that Saxon helped pioneer.
