Fresh Blood Award

In the FRESH BLOOD section, Fantasy Filmfest presents first or second films by as yet unknown directors and lets viewers vote for their favorites in an audience competition. The winning film will receive the audience award - the FRESH BLOOD AWARD. Voting takes place at every FRESH BLOOD screening with voting cards that are distributed on site. On the voting cards, 1-5 stars can be awarded for each film. The winner will be announced at the end of the festival.

Scared Shitless

The very first word is a cultivated "shit". Things are not going well for father Don and son Sonny, Sonny's mother has just died. Don's approach to coping with grief: unclogging toilets together as a plumbing duo! The germaphobe offspring is less than enthusiastic about being shoulder-deep in sewage. Although with confrontation therapy, he would be killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. The two are promptly called to an apartment complex. Whatever is clogging the pipes here ... lays eggs. It is also extremely voracious and makes its bloody way from human backside to backside.

It's been a long time since we've flushed this level down the toilet! Fart-in-the-elevator gags are just as obligatory as pensioner sex role-playing games and poo-poo jokes on the running gastric band. The not at all shitty creature effects are by Steven Kostanski, director of THE VOID and PSYCHO GOREMAN.
