An immersive art residency & exhibition

Three artists, seven days, one empty room: the experimental Schaffensraum residency invites visitors to become part of a radical art process. From March 24 to 30, 2025, Sabela García Cuesta, Monika Kwiat and Waldemar Wegelin will transform the renowned Fabrik der Künste into a living studio.

Welcome to the creative space, a place where art is created, grows and is lived. The exhibition begins on Monday - not with finished works, but with a white room and untouched canvases. Sabela, Monika and Waldemar, three artist friends with a shared history of collaboration, are embarking on an experimental week-long residency. They invite visitors to be part of this lively, creative process and lock themselves in the upstairs studio for seven days, creating the exhibition with open doors and in front of the public.

For the duration of the week, the transformation of the exhibition can be followed LIVE and will be accompanied by special program points and performances. In this way, every moment in the creative space becomes a shared journey in which the creative process takes center stage.

An exhibition that celebrates the art of creation - in keeping with the name of the venue: Fabrik der Künste.
