About the book:
A new look at a strong feeling
Everyone knows the feeling of shame - and nobody likes it. Shame is hard to control and can therefore easily be abused and instrumentalized. This applies today more than ever: shame has made a huge comeback thanks to social media. Shame has once again become a weapon. Matthias Kreienbrink shows how shame arises and in which areas it occurs particularly frequently. And he lets people have their say who have been shaped by shame in their lives and have suffered massive shame in some cases. This makes it clear how we can categorize this basic human feeling and deal with it better. To the book!

About Matthias:
Matthias Kreienbrink is a social and digital journalist and author. He studied literature and history at the Free University of Berlin. This was followed by several years as a member of the community moderation team at ZEIT ONLINE, an internship in the culture department of the Tagesspiegel and a guest lectureship at the German School of Journalism. Today, he writes as a freelance journalist for DIE ZEIT, Der Spiegel, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung and works as CvD at t3n.
