When have you ever felt lonely? And was it possible to talk about it? Young people are feeling lonely more and more often, according to new studies. Is this a remnant of the pandemic? Or a fundamental problem in the way we live together?

In the next issue of "Schauburg schaut hin", we will be looking at an unpleasant feeling: loneliness. Why is this feeling on the rise, even among young people? What does it have to do with school or the internet? Can we dare to talk about it? Why is increasing loneliness dangerous for our democracy? And what can we do about it?

Come to the Schauburg Labor and share your experiences. With a reading of texts from the Writers LAB and moderated table discussions.

In the "Schauburg schaut hin" series, we invite you to experience the theater as a place of discourse. Together with experts, artists and guests from the city, we exchange views on current topics. In various formats (readings, table talks, discussion rounds...) we talk about what concerns you and us.

"Schauburg schaut hin" will take place four times this season on different topics:

January 23, 2025: "Loneliness - invisible and political?"

March 27, 2025: "Anti-democratic party - what's wrong with it?" with author Martin Schäuble

May 2025: "Fact check and fake news - how do I arm myself against disinformation?"
