Hello Munich, hello world!

We are Schaufel & Besen Records! But who are we and what do we want anyway?

Schaufel & Besen Records is the non-profit label for Munich's subculture. Founded by members of the indie scene to spruce up the city's musical network. Seven volunteers are united by one mission: they want to sweep the glossy shine off the city of the rich and beautiful!

Shovel and Broom Records:

- promotes projects, bands, artists* on their creative path.

- organizes concerts and tours together with the bands on the roster.

- helps with recording, mastering, publishing and release.

- supports with visual design, artwork and video shooting.

- networks with Munich's subculture, venues and artists.

In addition to numerous release concerts and collaborations with other labels, Schaufel & Besen Records has already hosted a good dozen "Große Sausen" since 2022: Concert evenings at different venues with the top acts of the Isar underground.

Schaufel & Besen is a Munich story, written in Oberföhringer Bürgerpark. Here, on the northern edge of the city, indie veterans Zerberstian and Other found their first base, as did Zerberstian's daughter Sophie and her friends Vincent and Charly, who developed the Zombie Sessions concert series alongside various bands (including "Apian", "Uschi", "Bombo", "Spinnen"). Now the two generations have founded Schaufel & Besen. They are now actively supported by the rhythm section of the band "Autodelete", Flo and Dede. They are united by the dream of being able to give something back to the music community and create a visible platform. And to stir up the dust in close cooperation with the other beacons of Munich's subculture.

Look forward to legendary events, wild concerts and fresh bands from Munich's underground.

KATRIN SOFIE F. AND THE DANE

KATRIN SOFIE F. UND DER DÄNE make spoken beat. In a dazzling black and white zone, spoken word, lo-fi, punk and noise unite and destroy each other.

UBU.ZIP

UBU.ZIP is a Kraut/Electronica duo from Munich. With drums and synthesizers, UBU.ZIP create a retro-futuristic sound that is rooted in classic Krautrock, but also draws on various elements of electronic music from the past and present.
Hypnotic beats and melodic sequences are just as much a part of the sound as experimental noise interludes. (Source: Organizer)

DR. DREXLER PROJECT

Destruction as sound art!

An outburst of rage against the "social normality" that preaches consumption and egoism as the purpose of life. With a unique mixture of post-punk rawness and unpolished despair, DR. DREXLER PROJECT break the clean, tamed harmonies of the AI - composed soundbread. Words against insubstantiality. DR.DREXLER PROJECT drags its listeners into a world that rejects the false promises of growth, efficiency and fantasies of great power with powerful bass, buzzing synths and clanging guitars (sometimes also vibraphone).
This is about the unmasking of a system that carries freedom and progress as fighting concepts of authoritarianism in the guise of a sense of home as the final hook of nothingness. It is escape music, an attack on everyday life. Anger and madness against the mindfulness of the self-centered.
Neoliberal shit became a concept album without intention, simply because the zeitgeist writes the lyrics. The analog versus the digital, bottom versus top. An album as a whole against the arbitrariness of the first 5 seconds. (Source: Organizer)
