Play by Suzie Miller
Premiere: 08.02.24
The play of the hour on the MeToo debate! Suzie Miller's stirring monologue was a sensational success in London in 2022 and won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2023!
Tessa is a sought-after criminal defense lawyer. She successfully represents men accused of sexual assault. However, it is usually the women who are cross-examined - and Tessa does not have to prove that the woman consented, only that the man did not know that there was no consent.
But then something happens that Tessa didn't think possible: she herself becomes a victim. Suddenly she is faced with the question of what to do with her life. She becomes a witness for the prosecution and from then on experiences the events in the courtroom from the other side.
