Finally time for a poetry slam at the Pink Palace again! Düsseldorf's youngest poetry slam found a home in the Theatermuseum almost 2.5 years ago and takes place there regularly every 1st Thursday of the month.

What kind of show is it actually? A poetry slam is a modern competition between poets which, despite its status as a Unesco World Heritage Site, follows very simple rules: Self-written texts are performed on stage without props or music and the audience decides who wins the evening.

What the artists bring to the stage is entirely up to them. So it can be crackingly funny or magically tender, political or funny or serious... or all of the above. Whether poetry, prose or somewhere in between, everything is allowed at a poetry slam.
