Schnitterfest – Lughnasadh: Zwischen Fülle und Vergänglichkeit

Lughnasadh - the Celtic harvest festival or reaping festival - celebrates the start of the harvest season. It is a festival of abundance, but also of farewell: what is ripe is cut. What passes away makes room for something new. In dialog with this ancient festival, the works of Eva Aeppli and Jean Tinguely have a special resonance.

We take up the tradition of the old harvest festival and cordially invite you to an atmospheric open-air event. Art and nature combine with the idiosyncratic, poetic world of Eva Aeppli and Jean Tinguely. Together we want to experience a summer evening full of color and sensuality.

Program:

• A summery ambience with laid tables in the open air
• Short guided tours of the exhibition "Mechanics and Humanity. Eva Aeppli and Jean Tinguely"
• Shared meal or picnic: reserve your table in advance and bring your own favorite food! If there is no space available, you can bring a picnic blanket.
• Unregistered guests are also very welcome! Bread and beer will be available for them to share and linger.
• A reading and music will accompany the evening.
