Experience one of the most important works of the 20th century: under the direction of Andris Nelsons, the Gewandhausorchester and the Boston Symphony Orchestra unite to present Dmitri Shostakovich's monumental 7th Symphony in C major op. 60 ("Leningrad").
This symphony, considered a musical memorial to the horrors of the Second World War and the siege of Leningrad, unfolds in powerful musical images that tell of suffering, hope and resistance.
Shostakovich's 7th Symphony is an epic journey that delves deep into the emotional and historical significance of the time and is a true symphonic masterpiece.
