Schostakowitsch Festival - Quatuor Danel
In the organizer's words:
Experience the fascinating world of Dmitri Shostakovich through the brilliant sounds of the Quatuor Danel. With Marc Danel (violin), Gilles Millet (violin), Vlad Bogdanas (viola) and Yovan Markovitch (cello), the string quartet performs two masterful works by Shostakovich.
First up is the powerful 2nd String Quartet in A major op. 68, followed by the fascinating Unfinished String Quartet, which provides a unique insight into the composer's creative world. After the interval, the gripping 9th String Quartet in E flat major op. 117 awaits you, a work of great emotional depth and expressiveness.
