Schull- un Veedelszöch

Schull- un Veedelszöch 2025
The Schull- un Veedelszöch under the patronage of the Friends and Sponsors of Cologne Customs are an integral part of Cologne Carnival. With over 8,000 active participants, they parade through the city on Carnival Sunday on the route of the Rose Monday parade - and more than 300,000 Jecke on the roadside take part every year.

The trademarks of the Schull- un Veedelszöch are the groups' unusual, colorful, homemade costumes and the often (socially) critical themes and group mottos. Numerous music groups also ensure a good atmosphere.

It is a nice custom that the best Veedelszöch groups, selected by a 30-member jury, are allowed to walk and ride in the Rose Monday parade the following day.
