Schumann - Dichterliebe

Tobias Berndt, baritone and Johannes Tolle, piano

Schumann's probably most famous song cycle, the "Dichterliebe", is the focus of the recital at the Neues Schloss Stuttgart.

The ballads by Schumann (Belsazar) and Carl Loewe, to which Tobias Berndt and Johannes Tolle devote themselves in the second part of the concert, including "Die Uhr", "Tom der Reimer" and "Hochzeitslied", are virtuoso, highly dramatic and still justifiably popular today.

Tobias Berndt has won numerous competitions, including the international "Das Lied" competition in Berlin, which proved to be a springboard for a great international career. Both artists have worked together for many years.
