It's getting Swedish and cozy at Christmas time in the book workshop. The Scandinavian children's book classics Pippi Longstocking (Astrid Lindgren) and Pettersson and Findus (Sven Nordquist) will be read aloud in German and Swedish and special creative activities await you.
Your favorite Pippi, Pettersson and Findus books will be read by publisher Silke Weitendorf and Swedish photographer Carl Undéhn - in German and Swedish! Discover one or two (Christmas) books from Scandinavia that you may not yet know from the huge bookshelf at the book workshop.
In small creative workshops with illustrator Mone Seidel and designer Carrina Volling, you can make sustainable Christmas tree decorations or design your own Christmas cards. Maybe you'll even illustrate your own book heroes and heroines - with or without red pigtails. A variety of materials, great pens and colorful paper are available for this.
A small snack will be provided.
For families with children aged 3 and over - younger and older siblings are very welcome!
No registration required, Free admission.
About the children's books
We all know and love them - the Christmas stories from the far north of Pettersson and Findus and Pippi Longstocking. Make yourself comfortable in the Fröbel book workshop and listen to the reading about Pettersson's injured foot and special Christmas visit or the old man's attempt to build his cat Findus a Santa Claus. With Pippi you will visit three children who are all alone on Christmas Eve and make a Christmas tree dance.
