Schwindelfrei Festival

In the organizer's words:

The Schwindelfrei Festival is a festival for dance, theater, performance+ that presents artists from the independent performing arts from Mannheim, Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region every two years. Organized by the Mannheim Cultural Office, the festival's partner houses and venues are four Mannheim institutions of the independent performing arts: EinTanzHaus, Theaterhaus G 7, Theater Felina-Areal and zeitraumexit.

The Schwindelfrei Festival 2024 will focus on dealing with urgent, existential topics using artistic means. From 11 to 14 July 2024, festival visitors will gain insights into the work of the participating resident artists and mentoring programs. We also provide a platform for productions that have developed from residencies in previous Schwindelfrei editions. International guest performances and a colourful supporting program round off the programme.

Our festival center is the forecourt of the EinTanzHaus. The festival center is open for you every day from one hour before the first performance until 22:00. Drop by and treat yourself to a cool drink until the next performance!

• Festival opening at 19:15 on the forecourt of the EinTanzHaus
• Opening concert Mumuvitch Disko Orkestar from 21:00 on the forecourt of the EinTanzHaus

Friday, 12.07.2024

• "For more access" - discussion with the advisory board at 4:30 pm in the courtyard of Theaterhaus G7
• Talk and pizza hosted by festival curator Dirk Förster from 21:00 on the EinTanzHaus forecourt

Saturday, 13.07.2024

• Schwindelfrei ideas workshop at 14:00 in the inner courtyard of Theaterhaus G7
• Insight into the work of the mentoring groups at 17:00 in the inner courtyard of Theaterhaus G7
• Get together and bar evening from 21:00 on the forecourt of the EinTanzHaus

Sunday, 14.07.2024

• "Bye Bye Schwindelfrei" bar evening from 20:00 on the forecourt of the EinTanzHaus
