Science Day – für Familien, Freunde & Co.

In the organizer's words:

You can learn a lot about plastics on an outdoor trail. Because that's what's behind the "chain molecules" that make up plastics. At over 30 stations, you can discover the stories behind them and try out for yourself how science works. Or you can take advantage of our offer on the day to find out more about bioplastics or research projects with bees, for example.

There will also be speed dating: you can ask researchers questions! What made them decide to become scientists or what exactly they are working on. And in our lecture hall, Prof. Katharina Landfester explains "What does a Black Forest gateau have to do with science?". The format is called Children's University, but the chemical processes behind the individual preparation steps are often not even known to adults. So there is a program for every age group!
