Science Slam Bremerhaven

The special competition - and you are the jury!

The aim of a "Science Slam" is to communicate science in an attractive way, following the example of the "Poetry Slam". The aim is to present scientific topics to the general public in a very attractive way. Highly specialized experts have to shed their habitus and, if necessary, shed light on their work with humour and self-irony. All speakers are forced to limit themselves to what is absolutely necessary within the maximum ten minutes available and to adopt the audience's perspective during preparation. This breaks down many of the barriers that often exist at scientific events. The audience, as the jury, decides who will be crowned Bremerhaven's Science Slammer at the end. Free admission. Admission from 6 pm.
