Who am I? Who do I love? And how do I want to be perceived? An evening about self-determination and solidarity. And an emphatic plea for a relaxed coexistence in the future.

Kay has a serious crush - and a serious illness. "Muscles of Plastic" by Selma Kay Matter (Hanser Berlin) tells of chronic illness and transness - and of the way our society thinks and talks about "healthy" bodies. Care, intimacy and queer resistance - an impressive and moving debut.

Luca Mael Milsch's moving debut novel "Sieben Sekunden Luft" (Haymon Verlag) tells of fragility that becomes strength, of a world full of ambivalences, of the longing for a self-determined position in a rigid structure and under the social conditions of misogyny, heteronormativity, queer hostility, social and financial pressure. "A subtle novel about the attempt at liberation" (Daniela Dröscher).

And in "Schwindel" (Blumenbar), Hengameh Yaghoobifarah has four people meet on the roof of a high-rise building on a Friday evening - involuntarily. Who is actually with whom now? What is it with us and who are the other two? And how do we get down from this roof without keys and cell phones? An uncompromisingly contemporary love story of radical vitality.

The three authors present their current books in short reading passages and talk to Lisa Jay Jeschke about self-determined writing, life and love. Lisa Jay Jeschke is a research assistant at the Lyrik Kabinett, curates this year's Münchner Schiene at the Munich Literature Festival together with Chris Reitz and recently translated Shola von Reinhold's trans-aesthetic novel "LOTE" (Merve Verlag).

Linus Giese, who was also announced for this evening, unfortunately had to cancel.
