Sisters July and September live in their own world with their own language and their own games. Even their mother can't really get into it. But the two teenagers are also very different: July is sensitive, September dominant. When September is suspended from school, July begins to assert her independence - which does not go unnoticed by her sister. In her directorial debut, actress Ariane Labed (ATTENBERG) adapts Daisy Johnson's novel "The Sisters" with wonderful empathy for the eccentricity of a special sibling love.
