This year marks the thirteenth edition of the Serious Series. For the first time, the program will be designed by Anna Kaluza and Jan Roder. Their aim is to present music that turns the unheard into sound, circumvents conventions, combines the seemingly incompatible and crosses boundaries.

Free improvisation, current compositional concepts, references to the jazz tradition and electro-acoustic soundscapes come together again this year in a diverse program.

Serious Series is funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion.
