This year marks the thirteenth edition of the Serious Series. Anna Kaluza and Jan Roder are organizing the program for the first time. Their aim is to present music that allows the unheard to become sound, circumvents conventions, combines the seemingly incompatible and crosses boundaries.

Free improvisation, current compositional concepts, references to the jazz tradition and electro-acoustic soundscapes come together again this year in a diverse program.

Serious Series is funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion.
