Together for nine years, no sex for over 14 months: "Jimmy" and "Jessica" want to change that as part of their couples therapy - tonight on stage, in front of the audience! If they don't succeed, they will end their relationship. After all, a dog is enough for mere friendship!

"Sex or Ex" is a witty and unusual satire about lust and relationships in the current social climate, somewhere between "Shades of Grey" and "#MeToo". Scottish author Anthony Neilson focuses in particular on the insecurities of the feminist, enlightened man and doesn't mince his words. A topic that is as modern as it is timeless, touching and stirringly staged, offering plenty to talk about on the way home and in the bedroom!

Kronenbiss Theaterproduktionen staged the play together with professional actors Marcus Michael Mies and Julia Karl as a German-language second performance in spring 2023 for the Theater Kammerspielchen in Solingen. Since then, they have also performed the play very successfully as a guest performance on other stages.
