Sexarbeit in Deutschland – Thematischer Einstieg und aktuelle Lage

In this lecture we offer a short thematic introduction to the topic of sex work in Germany. We will talk about the current situation in Germany and the problems of the often-discussed "Nordic model". We will address current demands for the legal re-regulation of sex work, e.g. from the CDU.

Our speaker has been working as an escort and sexual companion in NRW for 5 years under the name Lillia Rubin. She has been an activist in the whore movement for just as long. In addition to sex work, she is a trained social worker and has worked for two and a half years in a counseling center for sex workers. Lillia is currently doing a Master's degree in Empowerment Studies with a focus on human rights policies. In this context, she gives lectures and workshops on the topics of sex work, the living and working realities of sex workers in Germany, political legal models for dealing with sex work, and the demands, activities and history of the whore movement.
