Fresh Blood Award

In the FRESH BLOOD section, Fantasy Filmfest presents first or second films by as yet unknown directors and lets viewers vote for their favorites in an audience competition. The winning film will receive the audience award - the FRESH BLOOD AWARD. Voting takes place at every FRESH BLOOD screening with voting cards that are distributed on site. On the voting cards, 1-5 stars can be awarded for each film. The winner will be announced at the end of the festival.

She Loved Blossoms More

Three brothers live in a house where everything seems a little unreal. They stoically tinker with a machine that is supposed to enable living beings to change dimensions. So far, however, the test animals have come back from the converted cupboard as if they had been put through a meat grinder. The first partial success is a chicken that is now scratching around without its head in its ramshackle home. When Dummy brings his new girlfriend along, this triggers erotic desires in the young men, which the spirited woman reciprocates without a care in the world. Events begin to spiral out of control during a drug-fueled night.

Director Yannis Veslemes invites us on an enigmatic, sometimes uncomfortable journey, with character face Dominique Pinon in a droll supporting role.

In the supporting film A MONSTER CALLED LOVE by Sophia Lara Nimue Schweizer, a young woman encounters a monster called LOVE in a forest.

Three brothers are working on a time machine, that shall be able to bring back dead people back to life. What survives the trip through their closet is so far a headless chicken. Then, a young woman appears and with her more drugs and alcohol. A surreal science fiction fable: director Yannis Veslemes invites us on a mysterious, sometimes uncomfortable journey.
