Lecture on the meaning of solidarity in the context of sexual violence based on the film "She said"

The abuse scandal surrounding Harvey Weinstein was followed by an unprecedented wave of solidarity under the hashtag #metoo. The victims of a system of abuse of power and sexualized violence were given a name and a voice. They were given back their dignity.

At the Feminist Forum, Dagmar von Hoff will use the example of Maria Schrader's film She said (2022) to illustrate the positive influence of solidarity as a counterpoint to the violence suffered by those affected. The film is based on the book of the same name (2019) by the two journalists Judy Kantor and Megan Twohey and depicts the investigative work behind the abuse scandal surrounding Harvey Weinstein.
