Shout Aloud, Yasmeen Godder Company & Dikla

In the organizer's words:

"Shout Aloud" is a special collaboration between choreographer Yasmeen Godder and Dikla, one of Israel's best-known singers. The piece is inspired by Dikla's first, groundbreaking album "Ahava Musica" from 2000, on which the artist mixes classical Arabic music with energetic dance electronics and experimental rock. Together with eight female dancers of different origins and ages, Godder's choreography brings to life endurance, resistance, grief, anger, helplessness, rebellion and solidarity from a female perspective. With their playful and raw body language, Godder and her ensemble touch on levels that inscribe themselves deeply into the body. They are accompanied live by Dikla and nine female musicians, who create a moving sonic framework with traditional Arabic and contemporary instruments.
