Side Street Show

In the organizer's words:

Being "just" an ensemble? Ensemble S201 has long outgrown this convention. In "Side Street Show", together with dancers Alfonso Bordi and Kristin Schuster, they develop a full-length performance in which the boundaries between instrumental music, performance and genre thinking seem to disappear. In this collaboration, a personal work emerges from the individual interests of the ensemble members, such as kung fu, baroque arias or a love of effect devices.
Side Street Show is the successor to the music theater production "Main Street Show", which was premiered by S201 in 2022. The ensemble members not only perform works from the S201 repertoire, but also act as performers or speakers. Works by G. F. Händel, François Sarhan, Alison Knowles, Emanuel Wittersheim, L. v. Beethoven, Raphael Languillat, Jug Markovic, Emre Sihan Kaleli and Luciano Berio, among others, will be performed.
