Double concert at Kulturschlachthof Düsseldorf: Tigerjunge & Silk

On 23.05.25 a double concert with two exciting bands from the alternative and punk rock scene will take place at Kulturschlachthof Düsseldorf: Tigerjunge and Silk

Silk is a newcomer band from Düsseldorf, NRW, which plays alternative punk rock. Melodic guitar riffs and cool basslines meet punchy drums and powerful vocals. Their songs deal with topics that encompass today's zeitgeist and delve into the world of love, self-discovery, social criticism, anger and emotional chaos. Inspired by artists such as Wolf Alice, Amyl and the Sniffers or Fontaines D.C., they describe their sound as versatile, creative, powerful and direct. With the help of English lyrics and a laid-back vibe, Silk fit right into the stream of the comeback of modern guitar music.

Tigerjunge - The "2-man-industrial-mantra-massacre-principle", sounds like a mix of Ministry and DAF. Or Virtual Riot and Bodycount...although there is really no pigeonhole: Tigerjunge sounds like Tigerjunge. It's safe to say that this band should actually come from Brooklyn, but since they're from Germany, they naturally come from Bochum, the Brooklyn of the Federal Republic. They say about themselves: "we work digitally, but feel analog"
