SIMON PATERNO & BAND "WHEN THE SPIRIT HITS"

The music of Stevie Wonder, trips to America and studying performing arts in New York laid the foundations for Simon Paterno's versatile career at an early age. The proximity to Broadway, the old-school jazz entertainers, soul and gospel music in Harlem have shaped the German-Filipino forever. First place in the national singing competition, engagements in 'Grease' and 'Wicked' followed, as well as performances of his own compositions at the Jazz Open Stuttgart and on The Voice of Germany. With softness and power in his voice, the Berliner-by-choice spans a wide range and soulfully lets the colors of several traditions resound - together with his own stories and songs.
