Capitalism, climate crisis, pandemic - or perhaps the menopause? Simone Dede Ayivi is in a bad way, and she has to conduct criminological research into the causes. Between the pest infestation in her apartment and the cutbacks in the cultural sector, she uses her personal experience to delve into the dimensions of structural grievances and the precarious living situations of marginalized groups in her true crime performance. However, she also contrasts the general misery with a confident perspective and delights us with a particularly heart-warming finale.

Capitalism, climate crisis, pandemic - or maybe it's the menopause? Simone Dede Ayivi is going through a bad time, and she has to conduct a criminological search for the causes. Between a pest infestation in her apartment and the cuts to the cultural sector, in her true-crime performance she works outwards from her personal experience to reach the dimension of structural grievances and the precarious living situations of marginalized groups. However, she is also able to contrast the widespread misery with a cautious view of the future and delights us with a particularly heartwarming finale.

IMPULSE FESTIVAL FOR PERFORMANCE, THEATER & DANCE

On three long festival weekends - one each in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Cologne and Düsseldorf - outstanding independent productions from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be presented. This showcase will be supplemented by positions on the relationship between East and West Germany as part of a "Post-West" focus as well as views from and on the host region of NRW.

We are looking forward to our first joint festival season!

During three long festival weekends - one each in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Cologne and Düsseldorf - outstanding productions from the independent theater scene from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be presented. This showcase will be complemented by positions on the relationship between East and West Germany as part of a 'Post-West' focus as well as views from and on the host region of NRW.
