The fact that a former and a new "boss" are on stage together with their orchestra is as unusual as it is unique. Antonello Manacorda, Artistic Director from 2010-2025 - and now Honorary Conductor - and his successor François Leleux come to KAP together with a captivating program.

Richard Strauss' Oboe Concerto is a chamber music gem that comes across as cheerful, even though the composer's world collapsed in 1945. In memory of his deceased grandmother, Gilles Silvestrini also composes against grief. Arnold Schönberg remained optimistic when his Chamber Symphony op. 9 initially met with criticism and devised his own style, which still resonates today. Franz Schubert's first symphony is brimming with aplomb and demonstrates a carefree inventiveness.

An evening that shows how beautiful it is when the past and the future can be heard in harmony.
