Music director Stefan Klingele fulfills a long-cherished wish: to conduct a big band for once. The Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra and the vocal ensemble join in and present a full sound, fulmination, brilliance and a rhythm that you can't help but follow. They poach loudly in foreign waters and drive out the old year with songs by Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington. The program is hosted by the entertainer and our "Dolly" Gayle Tufts, who has become a Bremen audience favourite thanks to her rebellious charm and unmistakable Denglish. It's showtime!
