»Sisterqueens« – Interkulturkino

In the organizer's words:

The documentary "Sisterqueens" about three girls from Wedding shows many excerpts from the feminist hip-hop project of the same name, which has been run by our art team, Lisa and Alma, since 2016. Under the guidance of established female rappers, the three protagonists Jamila, Rachel and Faseeha learn to celebrate themselves, question social norms and denounce injustice. The observational documentary accompanies the three girls for several years as they take their first steps as young, self-confident artists, defying gender stereotypes in rap. The film will be followed by a discussion with the project management.
