Skandinavische Filmtage Bonn

The Scandinavian Film Days Bonn are organized by students of the Rheinische Friedrich- Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. Nordic films will be shown in their original language with German or English subtitles. The film festival will take place from May 16 - 22, 2025 in cooperation with the University of Bonn and the Bonn Cinematheque in the cinema in the Brotfabrik.

On May 16, 2025, the Scandinavian Film Days Bonn will open at 8:30 pm with the documentary "A Day Without Women" (Iceland, 2024). The documentary tells the story of October 24, 1975, the day on which 90 percent of Icelandic women left their homes and refused to work, cook or look after their children. This year's Film Days also offer a diverse program - the horror thriller "Virgo" (Sweden, 2024) will give you goosebumps, while "Nova & Alice" (Sweden, 2024) combines music and drama. The program also presents the drama "The Girl with the Needle" (Denmark, 2024), the science fiction drama "After Us, The Flood" (Finland, 2024) and the thriller drama "Armand" (Norway, 2024), which is full of suspense. In keeping with tradition, the Scandinavian Film Days Bonn will end with the short film evening.
