Highlights - New impulses every day
- Prof. Dr. Claudia Franziska Brühwiler
The America specialist from the University of St. Gallen will open the conference with her lecture "The pathologized other: Trump and his electorate". She will analyze the phenomenon of "Trump 2.0" and shed light on the thinking of conservative US citizens who support the US president and his policies.
- Dr. Gerd Kommer
On the second day of the conference, the renowned investment advisor and bestselling author will address the topic of "financial pornography" in his contribution. He will show how financial journalists and "finfluencers" sacrifice scientific findings in favor of circulation and views through sensationalist reporting - with far-reaching consequences for the public understanding of financial topics.
- Prof. Dr. Gijsbert Stoet
In his lecture, the psychologist will address a socially taboo subject: the difference between men and women. His topic is the so-called "Gender Equality Paradox", which is based on his own research. He explains why the career interests of men and women in the most gender-equal countries - especially in the STEM subjects - are surprisingly far apart and which cultural, biological and psychological factors could be responsible for this.
