Slam the Topic

In the organizer's words:

One stage. One slam. One topic.

The new format "Slam the Topic!" brings together the local stars of the Würzburg poetry slam scene for a modern competition between authors. The special thing about it: Each edition focuses on a new topic to which all performers must adhere - whether in terms of content or form. Apart from that, all the rules that apply to a normal poetry slam apply:
1) The text must be self-written.
2) The time limit for the presentation is 6 minutes.
3) No costumes/props may be used.

The organization and moderation team consists of the award-winning playwrights Rahel Behnisch, Elvin Jonas and Yannik Ambrusits. In the second edition on March 26, everything revolves around the topic of democracy. Six slammers will compete with their texts to shed light on different facets of this topic. At the end, the audience will decide which contributions were the most convincing.
