The symphonic metal genre is currently experiencing a huge renaissance, as its beginnings date back to the early 1990s. The Finnish band Nightwish, founded in 1996, is a global icon of this energetic style of music and is still the international benchmark for symphonic metal music today.

It is therefore all the more painful for Nightwish fans that the band will not be touring for the next three years following the birth of the second child of their charismatic singer Floor Jansen.

But that doesn't mean they have to do without the music of the legends:
