Sneak-Preview

Many of the films can be seen later in our program, some films only this one time. All foreign-language productions are shown in the original with German subtitles, and in terms of genre, there is a wide range of films with a focus on "arthouse". There's never really any horror and action is rather rare. If you're expecting the big blockbusters, you're not really in good hands with us; we prefer to choose films a little off the beaten track. If you take a look at our sneak history below (we've been doing the sneak for over ten years now, and all the movies are listed!), you'll get a feel for what kind of movies we choose for our sneak previews.

There's (almost) always a Lottery before the movie. Sometimes you can guess something, sometimes you can shine with your movie knowledge, sometimes you are simply drawn by lot or sometimes you just have to answer a guessing question. If we can't think of a suitable Lotteries or a suitable occasion, there will alternatively be a little something for everyone :-)

The sneak previews always take place on the first and third Monday of the month at 9:15 pm, admission costs 7 euros. Tickets are usually available two to three weeks in advance. Subscribe to our newsletter or our Telegram channel to never miss a SCALA sneak preview again!
