Karen actually just wanted to pay her father a visit, but his dementia and the constant rain force her to stay. The world seems to be literally dissolving before her very eyes: Extreme weather events threaten places of retreat that were thought to be safe, fading memories cause identity to crumble and at the same time tear open old wounds anew. The protagonist Karen is at a crossroads. But where does it come from and where will it lead her? Director Luise Voigt was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen 2025 with her production "Die Gewehre der Frau Carrar / Würgendes Blei" with texts by Björn SC Deigner. With the opening of the Kammerspiele, the director and the author are continuing their successful collaboration. At the same time, the director, who is known for her exceptionally strong thematic and aesthetic approaches, is presenting this work for the first time in Frankfurt.
