SoK Quintet

In the organizer's words:

Alexander "Magnus" Gibson - trumpet

Alper Elmaci - Piano
Elia Baioni - Contrabass and composition
Faolán Collins - Drum

SoK s a contemporary jazz quintet comprised of musicians who were drawn to Berlin from a variety of European scenes (Milan, Dublin, Hamburg, Istanbul, and Berlin).

Mirroring the band's rapport, we always aim to bring equal elements of frivolity and seriousness on stage.

All of the members represent countries with long histories of acoustic music that the quintet blends through a common theme of coming into one's own by moving to a new city. Berlin is the melting pot of Europe, and the quintet represents that idea in microcosm.
