Solitude im Literaturhaus

In the second edition of "Solitude im Literaturhaus", current fellows of Akademie Schloss Solitude present literary and text-based artistic works that transform the written word into new media, spatial and poetic forms. The Palestinian artist and architect Hiba G. Isleem shows "Numbers and Squares" - an interactive installation that combines archive, animation and language. Hanieh Fatouraee, artist and architect, works on spatial knowledge systems, deconstructs dominant narratives and uses poetic strategies for critical reflexion. South African author Sibongakonke Mama reads poems on history, the body and society. She addresses black experience, language boundaries and belonging, inspired by Kevin Quashie's concept of silence. Mayra A. Rodríguez Castro, writer and editor (Dream of Europe, The Echo), reads from her latest collection of essays in English and German. An evening for anyone who wants to experience literature in a new way - between language, space and image.
