The first monothematic issue of Solomiya magazine - The Environmental Issue - brings together artists and researchers reflecting on and advocating for social and ecological communities related to environmental issues in Ukraine. In collaboration with the Ukrainian Environmental Humanities Network (UEHN), an international collective of curators, artists and scientists, an issue was created that focuses on the richness and complexity of Ukrainian landscapes. The publication of the fourth issue of Solomiya will be accompanied by excerpts from Daryna Mamaisur's new film "Eyelashes and Sand Crystals" (2024) and a panel discussion with Karolina Uskakovych and Jonathon Turnbull, two members of UEHN, as well as Daryna Mamaisur and Daria Svertilova, artist and photographer of the magazine.
Following the panel discussion, music producer be_ca_di will perform his soundscape "IRREVERSIBLE - RUSSIANS DESTROYED KAKHOVKA DAM", which was created on the second day after the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam.
