The Brecht House opens its doors to celebrate the summer. Once again this year, we invite you to a special program with music on the courtyard stage, lyrical interludes and guided tours of the Brecht-Weigel Museum.

Through readings and an exhibition in the Bertolt Brecht Archive, you will get to know the great poet from a new perspective: as a letter writer who, despite his notorious laziness in writing, kept a network of widely scattered friends together through his trenchant correspondence.

To celebrate Weigel's year, Brecht and Weigel's collection of letters will be read aloud at his grave. In the "witching hour" that follows, selected letters from the many artists buried in the Dorotheenstädtischer Friedhof will be read aloud.

An event organized by the Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus, the Brecht-Weigel-Museum and the Bertolt-Brecht-Archiv in cooperation with the Evangelischer Friedhofsverband Berlin Stadtmitte.
