Kupido Literaturverlag is organizing its 3rd summer festival and invites the Cologne parasite press to present books by its authors who live in or near Cologne. Kupido presents a novelty as the 4th item on the program:

Thomas Empl, born in Munich in 1991, is a writer and screenwriter living in Cologne. His short story collection Ausbruch was published by parasitenpresse in 2021, followed by Inneres Zittern in 2023. In 2022 he toured Germany, mostly with the collective Hypertext. In 2023, he received the Dieter Wellershoff Scholarship from the City of Cologne.
Natalie Harapat, born 1986 in Wetzlar, is a German author and artist. She studied in Giessen, Cologne and Hamburg and has published in various literary journals and anthologies. Her first book SCHLUSS. OFF. ENDE was published by Schwarzkopf und Schwarzkopf Verlag in 2010. Übertrieb was published in summer 2024 by parasitenpresse. In 2024 she is a fellow of the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen.
Maia Traine, born in 1983, grew up in Cologne as the child of Argentinian parents. She studied philosophy, German language and literature, sociology and dance studies in Cologne and Berlin and spent time in Colombia and Chile. Among others, she has translated Eugen Gomringer and Jan Wagner into Spanish. Her translation of Catalina Garcés Ruiz (2024) was published by parasitenpresse and her German translation of Sofía Sánchez is forthcoming. She lives in Cologne.
Pociao has been a translator from American English for five decades. She was a spectacular winner of the F.A.Z. De Lillo competition. She lives in Bonn. For Kupido, she translated Lawrence Ferlinghetti's "Notizen aus Kreuz und Quer". Ferlingehtti (1919-2021) is an icon of 20th century poetry and also became famous as THE publisher of the BEAT generation.
