Cinema in the open air: This year's Summer Cinema Open Air runs every Saturday from June 7 to August 16 on our roof terrace - wonderful summer evenings with great movies in the open air!
This time, Cinema Quadrat and Institut Français Mannheim are showing a film from the French cinema series Ciné-Club, with live music before the movie:

The world-renowned conductor Thibaut Desormeaux is diagnosed with leukemia. While searching for a bone marrow donor, he learns that he is adopted and has a brother he doesn't know: Jimmy Lecocq works in a canteen in the north of France. The pair of brothers, from completely different backgrounds and living in completely different worlds, seem to have only one thing in common: a love of music.
Emmanuel Courcol's intense and moving tragicomedy combines elements of musical comedy, social drama and melodrama. In doing so, he avoids any clichés and instead delivers a true story about how the social environment determines the course of life. And how different paths can converge.
